When to pray this prayer
This prayer is for you if your progress has made you a target. Every time God moves in your life — a promotion, a breakthrough, a blessing, a new beginning — it becomes visible to others. And not everyone who sees your blessing celebrates it. Some who smile to your face carry jealousy in their hearts. Some who call you friend secretly resent what God has given you. Some have gone further and taken active steps in darkness to hinder what God is building in your life. Jealousy is one of the most powerful and most underestimated spiritual forces. In Proverbs 27:4 Solomon writes that wrath is cruel and anger is overwhelming — but who can stand before jealousy? It is destructive in a way that open hostility is not, because it hides itself. This prayer is not a call to live in paranoia, constantly suspicious of those around you. It is a call to position yourself spiritually so that what jealousy and hidden enmity attempt against you finds no purchase on your life. The shield of God does not require you to identify who is jealous. It simply covers you so thoroughly that the attack cannot land regardless of who sent it.

Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and I bring into Your light every hidden attack that has been launched against my life from the darkness of jealousy and concealed enmity. Nothing is hidden from You. Psalm 44:21 declares that You know the secrets of the heart. You see what I cannot see — every jealous intention, every concealed plan, every step taken in secret against my blessing. And You are greater than all of it.
I declare that the favor of God upon my life is a shield that jealousy cannot penetrate. It is written in Psalm 5:12 that God blesses the righteous and surrounds them with favor as with a shield. A shield surrounds — it covers front, back, and sides. There is no angle from which a jealousy-driven attack can approach me without encountering the favor of God first. I receive that shield now, fully deployed around my life, my family, my work, and my future.
I pray, Father, for the eyes of my heart to be opened to see who truly belongs in my inner circle and who does not. Proverbs 4:23 says to guard the heart above all else, for from it flow the springs of life. I choose to guard my heart — not with suspicion, but with discernment. Holy Spirit, give me the gift of discernment. Let me recognize genuine friendship from calculated proximity. Let me see who is sent to help and who has come to observe and report. Let me make no room in my life for what You have not approved.
I break every jealous prayer and every evil eye directed at my progress. The concept of the evil eye — the gaze of jealousy that the enemy uses to target what is flourishing — is real in Scripture. Jesus warned against it in Matthew 6:22-23. I declare that my life and everything God has given me is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ against every jealous gaze. What the enemy sees, he cannot touch. What God has covered, jealousy cannot corrupt.
I declare that no weapon of jealousy formed against me shall prosper, for it is written in Isaiah 54:17. The slander that jealousy generates — the whispered words, the false reports, the character assassinations — none of it shall prosper. God is my vindicator. He is the One who justifies me, and as written in Romans 8:33, if God justifies, no accusation stands. I do not need to defend myself from jealousy. God is my defense.
I forgive, right now, everyone who has been jealous of me. Jealousy is a prison for the one who carries it — not a weapon against me if I walk in forgiveness and love. I release every person who has looked at my life with envy. I release every person who has spoken against me from a place of jealousy. I bless them. I pray that God opens their eyes to see the unique plan He has for their own life, so that they no longer feel the need to measure their worth against mine. I am not their enemy. I am not their competition. Each of us has a different appointed path.
I declare protection over what God has entrusted to me. My family — protected from the eyes of those who wish them harm. My work — protected from sabotage, from undermining, from those who would corrupt what God has built through me. My reputation — protected from those who would damage it through false words. My peace — protected from those whose unhappiness seeks company.
Father, let me walk in such a close relationship with You that I become untouchable by jealousy — not because I am above attack, but because I dwell in the shelter of the Most High, as written in Psalm 91:1, and what lives in that shelter is covered by a protection that no jealous intention can navigate. Let my life be hidden in You, as written in Colossians 3:3, so that what is truly mine is safe in a place that the enemy cannot locate.
I declare that my blessing continues to grow, that my favor continues to expand, and that the progress God has ordained for my life is not delayed by the jealousy of men. Because it is not men who authorized my blessing, and it is not men who can revoke it.
The shield is raised. Jealousy finds no landing place. Hidden enemies find no open door. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

To maintain this protection, walk in humility and in love. Pride and the boasting of blessings can lower the shield — not because God withdraws His protection, but because pride invites the very jealousy it fears. Let God promote you in His time, in His way. And when the blessing comes, direct the glory to Him — the One who gave it — so that what men see is not your greatness but His.
